Hello!
After running Rankwhere for four years, it is time to expand the focus of the website. All tools will remain (and more to come) but the shift will be to real world Internet Marketing. Let’s face it, everyone wants to make more money. I personally work a day job and would love to leave but I cannot. So I do Internet Marketing on the side and am bombarded by emails every day. How do you make sense of it all with all these gurus? Well I have bought my fair share of programs and will be posting my thoughts on my blog here at Rankwhere as well as all over the site. The truth hurts and I am a big skeptic. So I might come off harsh but at least it will be real.

For those who stay, I can say that I will do my best to review and give you my experiences with making money on the Internet. I have done many different things to generate money - popups, ads, ebooks, direct sales, seo, etc. I still look for more ideas every day as it seems to never end.

Hi Regular Joe Marketer
I have only been ‘working’ online for 1 year and I am getting to the stage when I hate to open up my email as I know there will be hundreds of gurus telling me to buy this or that product in order to succeed. How does one tell which product will be useful or not? So far a couple have been very useful but the rest are gathering cyber dust as people says. It is quite heart warming to know that you have the same feelings about the so called gurus.

I am in the same position as you. I get easily 10 new ‘Guru” emails every day.. sometimes several from the same person. Some even send offers they say “do not pas up” or “the best I ever offered” every day. So which is the best? If you send a new offer every day they all cant be great.
I have spent thousands and have many courses sitting on my shelf. And you know what? I keep buying. I have everything from build your own ebook, build a membership site, adwords, adsense, etc I could go on and on. Have courses from Jeff Johnson, John Reese, Walker, Joel Comm, and more.
What I want to try and do is to put some of these products on the hot seat. I want to review them and especially want your comments and thoughts. Sure they all look good but I always ask myself.. if someone is making 10k a month why would they share it with us? One reason is if they can get 100 people signed up to this… they make a hell of alot more than 10k !
I have had limited success doing some things but they never last and I am always forced to look for the next big thing. I think these things MAY work but since I have a wife who is 8 months pregnant and a day job..it leaves me little time to do what I want with Internet Marketing.
The only things I found to work is WORK. Meaning.. there is no more magic tool or program that will fill your bank account. You must WORK. Alot of times I have good ideas but then they stall at the marketing phase. I still after all these years have a grasp on traffic generation. I ended up buying sites running for years to get traffic with Rankwhere being the exception as I made this from the ground up. But I did not update as much as I want. But I am going back to this and expanding on it. Perfect example of this is a ebook I made..site created and it did nothing… check it out - BirdFluMystery.com. Even made 2 sales pages. But someone please tell me a step by step process to market this? I still do not know.
I think it is time for a wake up call with all these gurus. I am tired of all these emails promising me life on the beach,, 4 hour work weeks, etc. I want to turn the tables. Maybe I sound bitter but I am not. I just want to make some money.. and hope we can help each other.
So stay tuned for more posts and maybe even Rankwhere users can put in their own reviews and comments. This is an open forum for whatever you want to say.
